OUR STORY

Abbott and Wallace Distilling is a whiskey and rum distillery redefining what handcrafted can mean. Like the Longmont community itself, “handcrafted” means something different here. Owner-built equipment, locally sourced ingredients, and transparent processing blends with our values of community and family for one-of-a-kind spirits and cocktails. Longtucky is a celebration of Longmont’s rich agricultural history and artisan community. It’s our home and the community that helped create our dreams.

We are slowly and deliberately shifting our name from Longtucky Spirits to Abbott and Wallace. We are making this shift because Abbott and Wallace represents our past and our future while maintaining our family and human roots.

When you decide to honor your family with their names on your company, there comes a certain responsibility to their spirits. We owe it to them, our community and ourselves to make sure what’s behind the label honors as much as what’s printed on it.

THE VEIN IN THE GRAINS

Colorado was built by men and women chasing their dreams. Folks who carried the legacy of their families from the East Coast, dipping their pans into cold mountain water, hoping to pull out a better life. Abbott and Wallace dips into those same streams to make life a little better for you. To give everyone chasing his or her dreams a chance to unwind and savor the important moments, the good memories, and raise a glass to those who came before us.

All of our grains are grown at Schlagel Farms just 5 miles from the distillery. We choose ingredients that add to our flavor not to our bottom line. All of our spirits are double distilled through our founder’s hand built alembic copper pot stills. We put the same award-winning spirits into our canned cocktails. Abbott and Wallace is Colorado’s only distillery canning ultra-premium cocktails distilled from local ingredients.

CHEERS TO LONGTUCKY

What do you do when you throw a party for your friends? Do you buy shrink-wrapped and frozen cheese sticks? Or do you make things by hand? Maybe even share a family recipe or two? Essentially Abbott and Wallace is a cocktail party, and the only way we see to throw a proper one is to make the spirits ourselves.
